Cynthia-class 2011 web2

We look forward to welcoming Cynthia Broshi to Durban in September. Through her 29 years of study and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu, Cynthia has taught Jin Shin Jyutsu to a diverse audiences in many countries including groups of preschool children and nucleur physicists. She teaches beautifully, her use of words is precise and flows through her poetic sensitivity. As a visual artist she also incorporates into her teaching large colourful drawings as rich support for understanding this "complicatedly simple" art of Jin Shin Jyutsu which is based on principles over 5000 years old.
Cynthia will be offering a range of classes suitable for new students and for those of many years experience, she will offer in-depth study as well as simple basics for people who just want some practical helpers they can make use of themselves and with their families.

  1. Self-help for mothers and children
    Wednesday 18 – Thursday 19 September 2013

It was through my young daughter, born with a life-threatening condition, that I became aware of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Using the self-help techniques daily, my aches and pains dissipated. By utilizing them for Lucy I could help her sleep, eat and feel better. Best of all, in Jin Shin Jyutsu I found my key to enjoying our life together — challenges and all.~ Cynthia Broshi
There are three separate aspects to this class:
    a) Class over two mornings for mothers to attend. While this is useful for children of all ages, to minimise disruption we request only small babes join. Times: 8am – 12pm. Cost R850 total for both mornings (deposit R250 to secure your place)
    b) 1 hour long class for children 2.30 – 3.30pm
    c) Mini-consultations with Cynthia for parents who would like specific assessments and recommendations for their children. These 15 minute consults cost R150 and need to be booked through the organiser.

  2. 5-day Seminar
    Saturday 21– Wednesday 25 September

A Jin Shin Jyutsu 5-day seminar is ideal for people who want to deepen their study of Jin Shin Jyutsu, perhaps just in furthering their own personal journey or perhaps to be able to work with other people. Self-Help classes are not a prerequisite for attending a five-day seminar, however they are very strongly recommended as a preparation and introduction, especially if this is your first five-day seminar.
    Cost: New students: R4 500; Review students: R3 000
Bookings and deposit by 31 July 2013

  3. Special Topic Class Pulse Listening
    Friday 27– Sunday 29 September
Hearing the Song, Dance, Vision, Anatomy, Mathematics and Magic of the Pulse : Recognizing the 9 Depths Within and All Around Me.
PREREQUISITE: At least one Jin Shin Jyutsu 5-day seminar is required to attend this class; this is a great class for more experienced student-practitioners too as the more familiarity you have with pulses, the deeper your understanding can grow in this class.
Awareness and understanding of the Universal Pulse is a lifetime study. Yet everyone, regardless of our experience, can hear in it exactly what we need to hear. We will practice listening with our hearts, with our hands and with the wealth of experience we know from our daily lives. We all KNOW the feels and the actions of the 9 Depths in our daily life – so we will practice recognising them in our environment, the weather, the people we know – thereby developing our recognition of them in the pulse. We will explore the Depths as we encounter them in Nature, exploring the world of nature without and the world of nature within. Creation is always speaking, directly, through me – to KNOW this is a gift of Pulse Listening.
    Cost: R 2 100
