In my own hands: JIN SHIN JYUTSU Weekend Workshop Saturday & Sunday 31 March-1 April 2012 with Lynda Silk
No matter what manifests on the surface, profound harmony is always within us. We need only our own hands on our own body to release the tensions that inhibit this deep harmony.
Explore how, through simply applying gentle touch you can bring profound harmony to your own body, mind and heart. Whether you wish to alleviate pain or discomfort, or to generally live life with more ease. This innate capacity to simply and effortlessly respond to our own deep needs seems radical in an era characterised by constant and chaotic search for solutions outside of oneself, yet these principles were known and practised through many ancient cultures.
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be helpful in many ways: e.g. responding to physical symptoms of pain or disease, easing emotional discomforts, cultivating a life without fear, developing a different relationship with your body even in the face of major illness, discovering more of your own potential, and leading a more joyful authentic life.
No initiation or special ability is required. You will learn enough of the principles, story and history of Jin Shin Jyutsu to be creative in your practice of this art. To understand what you learn through your own experience, around half of the time will be spent applying Jin Shin Jyutsu to yourself. Participants commonly find this very relaxing and revitalising.
For those interested in continuing the journey of Jin Shin Jyutsu, Books 2 and 3 will be presented later in the year and an in-depth seminar by international taecher Michael Wenninger is offered in September. Feel free to contact Lynda directly with queries.
Venue: The Breathing Space, Glenwood Cost: R 1600. This includes Mary Burmeister’s ‘Book 1’ which will be supplied. If you are repeating the workshop with me the cost is only R850 tel Lynda Silk 084 875 4585 email
